One thing that was a must-do in New York City for me and my BAE, was get pizza, which is my other BAE. Clearly, the Before Anything Else idea encompasses lots of areas of my life leaving me with an inability to make decisions. But pizza? It was a must.

And would you believe we had a hard time trying to find pizza in New York? Some places were closed, some were jam-packed to the point where the place would be closed by the time our turn came at the register, and some places just had bad health food ratings posted on their windows.

We almost gave up after walking several blocks in the heart of New York City when Ray’s Pizza showed up. Hooray! I would be able to get some delicious pepperoni pizza!

I took a bite before I took a picture. Hee.

Except not. Ray’s Pizza didn’t have any pepperoni or regular cheese pizza which seemed like heresy from any pizza joint. Those are staples! They are the must haves! They are the things that you have on hand otherwise you are NOT an official pizza joint!

But I made do with pepperoni and mushroom and sausage. I can’t be too mad at the pizza place. They gave me a generous slice, I had a place to sit and I didn’t have to wait for an hour in line. Plus, the slice was pretty good. It wasn’t “OHMYGAH, THIS WAS WORTH WANDERING AIMLESSLY AROUND NEW YORK” good, but it satisfied a craving. I gobbled it down and drank my boyfriend’s soda… But I’d have been happier with a fast food chain like Papa John’s. #Truth.
