Spotlight: Alix Coburn of I Covet Thee — Patron Saint of Cozy YouTube

Remember when YouTube wasn’t a circus of neon thumbnails and people screaming at you about their “life-changing” water bottle? Yeah. That’s where Alix Coburn comes in. Back in the golden era of I Covet Thee, she gave us calm, cozy vlogs that felt more like a chat with a friend than content engineered for the algorithm. The Cozy Queen of Comfort Content Alix had a gift: she could sit down, casually talk about a foundation, and suddenly you’d be convinced it was the missing puzzle piece of your existence. Her vlogs? Pure serotonin. They were slow, gentle, and cozy—like the YouTube equivalent of a

Spotlight: Hung Vanngo — The Man Behind the Face

Let me paint you a picture. You’re scrolling Instagram. You see Karlie Kloss looking like a literal Renaissance painting. Selena Gomez with skin that glows like she bathes in moonlight and Serums Only Sold in Heaven. Kendall Jenner with the kind of softly smudged eyeliner that makes you whisper “teach me.” And in the comments? One name, over and over again: Hung Vanngo. At this point, I’m convinced the man doesn’t blend makeup—he whispers blessings into the brush. And as someone trying to claw her way out of a makeup rut (hi, it’s me, Kristen), I had to know more about him.

Now You Too Can Join the Sweat Fest!

If you’ve been reading for awhile, you might remember my adventures in Barre or Strength and Sculpt. Despite the incessant whining I did about sore muscles, the classes were awesome, and something I continue to try to do. Since lockdown began, these classes were cancelled. The good news is, my instructor Colleen Freese has started a YouTube channel and now not only does kick ass workout videos, but will do livestreams of her classes. The best part? It’s all for FREE. Check her classes at Colleen Freese Fitness on YouTube!

Blogs & Vlogs: Tamira Jarrel and Things We Stan

Tamira Jarrel – YouTube This girl dabbled in beauty but her main point is fashion related finds. She is more tomboy then feminine and her wardrobe is more capsule than all encompassing. Because of this, her basics are on point like you wouldn’t believe. Taking recommendations from her usually means I’ll be getting something that I’ll use over and over again. Things We Stan – Blog She doesn’t post often, but when she does it’s brilliant. Sassy and humorous, she writes engaging content and honestly? If she were to someday become internet-famous, it wouldn’t shock me. Her stuff is that

Blogs & Vlogs: Little Fears and Madeleine Loves

Little Fears I feel like it’s important to tell you all about the Little Fears, partly because Halloween is upon us, and partly because the Little Fears may be coming to a (somewhat) end. If you like dark comedy and bad puns, than you’ll enjoy these doodles. They’re like a single pane comic strip that will make you both groan and laugh. Madeleine Loves (and her YouTube is here) Madeleine Spencer writes this blog that centers around beauty. She also throws in some articles about anxiety which I, as a highly anxious person, appreciate! The kicker is that she also

Blogs & Vlogs: I Covet Thee and Hunida

I’m a blog reading junkie and YouTube is my version of TV. As a result, I’ve decided to share some of my favorite things to watch and read over the next few weeks/months/FOREVER. Hope you enjoy some of my own finds! I Covet Thee – Blog & YouTube Alix Coburn runs the blog and YouTube channel known as I Covet Thee. There, she talks home & lifestyle, fashion galore, a little bit of makeup, and vlogs like a champion. Since moving, I’ve been devouring her own moving series, and taking notes of the small changes she makes to her place
