I am not a big fan of pork. By that I mean pork chops, because YOU KNOW I love ham and am having a not-so-secret affair with bacon. But pork chops? Hard. Pass. BUT, since I’m always in the pursuit of new recipes, and diving into foods that I would normally say “No, thank you” too, I decided to give this Creamy Pork Stew a try aaaaaaaand…. I think I just found *THE* winter soup recipe of the year. Really. And it’s strange because one of my favorite parts of this was the pork. It was all juicy and tender

Week in Review #14
This week feels like its been so easy to get through. How weird is that? Even Monday wasn’t a drag. Missed any posts this week? Find them here: I discussed Fahrenheit 451 and how Ray Bradbury predicted the future. I’ve been hardcore loving on this Butternut Squash Macaroni and Cheese. I tell you all about my quest for pizza in New York City and my dining experience at Ray’s Pizza. I don’t have much to say on body skincare but I AM loving the Paula’s Choice Resist Skin Revealing Body Lotion with 10% AHA. Tatte was my safe haven in
Vegetable Stock
I bought myself a Breville pressure cooker which has officially become my pride and joy. It doubles as a slow cooker as well, and mind you, I was able to cook up the soup that’s going to get me through the winter. Period. You can mock me for posting this. It’s something that I’m sure is basic and everybody can do it, BUT words cannot explain how excited I was that I was able to make my own vegetable stock using a recipe from those cook booklets that come with gadget you just ordered. Yes. You read that correctly. I
Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese
THIS IS MY FAVORITE DISH EVER. Okay, maybe not ever, but it’s CURRENTLY my favorite dish ever. When I first saw this recipe I gave it so much side-eye, I’d thought I’d go blind. Butternut squash and a “healthier” version of Mac and cheese? Who even made this recipe? And why are you putting vegetables in my bowl of carbs and fat anyway?! BUT, I sighed, and got to cooking because trying new things means also allowing some questionable things into my cooking. Which, if you haven’t caught on yet, I have ZERO regrets mixing my cheese with some squash.
Books: Fahrenheit 451
I’m pretty sure this book is based on my nightmares. The main premise is that a fireman’s sole job is to burn any and all literature. You’re forbidden to read, your main source of entertainment comes from a room with four screens of televised content. Just the thought of it makes me want to scream. And you know what? When one fireman exposed himself to books for the first time, it turned his world upside down and made him realize that life as he knew it wasn’t living at all. The lack of books had caused technology to storm in
Fashion Cravings – So Kate Pumps from Christian Louboutin
Fashion cravings? Of course Christian Louboutin pumps would make an appearance in this series at some point. He’s a staple in the drool-worthy “I want that” fashion category. His red sole shoes are iconic to the hilt. AND, even though they cost boatloads, they’re still super uncomfortable and super covetable all at the same time. I know, because I tried on a pair while in New York City. I was all “Ouch, but oooh, I look good!” I know the pointy toe is a hit or miss depending on who you are, but I feel badass and highfalutin all at
Happy Halloween!
I will be asking Alexa to play “Halloween Music” and marathoning all the classics such as “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, “Hocus Pocus”, and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. Since I’m great at multi-tasking, I’ll also hand out gobs of candy to the lucky kids who ring my doorbell. Everything’s all decorated and the porch light will be on! Hope you enjoy the holiday and stay safe!
Blogs & Vlogs: Little Fears and Madeleine Loves
Little Fears I feel like it’s important to tell you all about the Little Fears, partly because Halloween is upon us, and partly because the Little Fears may be coming to a (somewhat) end. If you like dark comedy and bad puns, than you’ll enjoy these doodles. They’re like a single pane comic strip that will make you both groan and laugh. Madeleine Loves (and her YouTube is here) Madeleine Spencer writes this blog that centers around beauty. She also throws in some articles about anxiety which I, as a highly anxious person, appreciate! The kicker is that she also
Fashion Cravings: Tom Ford Jennifer Sunglasses
I have a thing for accessories, mainly because they tend to fit me no matter how much my waist expands or thins out. A scarf will always be able to drape itself in a sophisticated way across my shoulders, and barring serious water retention, a pair or shoes should always slide on. Which brings me to sunglasses. They should always fit my head, protect me from crows feet, and make me look fab. Like these Tom Ford Polarized Jennifer Sunglasses. They are so chic, like what Aubrey Hepburn would wear today if she went for Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I just
