I’ve mentioned before on here that I have heinously dry skin. My legs are usually in a state of red alert because I’ll scratch them bloody without even realizing it. Part of this is due to medication and part of it is due to sensitivity to lavender which finds its way into all sorts of skincare products but hides itself behind the ingredient “fragrance”. Ugh.
My skin is doing much better due to this lotion BUT, I’ll have to be honest. At first, I didn’t think it worked all that great. And I was all bummed because I was going to have to write a negative review about a Paula’s Choice product which is a suckfest because… I love the brand.
My opinion changed because of my Elemis skin brush though. You might gag at what I’m about to write so if you have a queasy stomach when it comes to dead skin you might want to skip this paragraph…. The thing is, when I used my skin brush before I started using this lotion, very small flakes of skin would come off my legs. Then I started applying this lotion in the morning and using the body buffing brush at night and giant flakes started coming off and made my legs feel almost normal again. It’s been a blessing. It’s won my heart. I think I might be in a polygamous relationship with my Elemis skin brush and Paula’s Choice AHA Body Lotion. See? I told you this paragraph would be TMI.
In conclusion, I like this body lotion, but only paired with a skin brush/body buffer. On it’s own it really didn’t provide any relief from my itchy-itchy skin. Pair it up though and it’s got superhuman powers (for me, anyway!)
You can shop the product at the following websites for $28 a pop!
Think I need this, the weather is playing havoc with my skin! Everything is drying out 🤦🏻♀️ Hands, lips, everything!!!!!!!
Winter weather is the worst! If I don’t take the time my skin will be more reptile than human!
😂 glad I’m not the only one! I’m really loving a lot of products from the tropics skin care range, I only started using them this year, but they are pretty good, and not bad cost wise ! Xx
Anything to keep the legs from falling apart!
Geat to hear you found a way to make it work. Sometimes you need a little helper to make a product work.
I hope your skin will return to normal (and I get that you might not remember what this is like) and the eczema flare-ups will stop. Fingers crossed! xoxoxo
It’s been getting better! I still itch probably a little too often but there is no more blood under my nails at least 😅
Baby steps, eh?
Yes, but at least I’m heading in the right direction!
