While in Boston, I spotted a soap maker outside Faneuil Hall. Being the constant lover of soap, I stopped by and bought a few bars. I thought there name, “Scent for You” was cute and I figured the swirly designs on the bar would look posh in my shower. Aesthetics, people. They MATTER.
Anywhooo….
The scent of this was “Black Forest” but I’ll be honest… My sense of smell kind of stinks. So either this wasn’t very scented or my sniffer conked out when I used this in the shower. Maybe the whole “Scent for You” moniker was just a name and not an actual benefit of the product.
Furthermore, it’s a good soap but I definitely wouldn’t call this a great soap. It seemed less moisturizing and nourishing than handmade soap bars usually are. I also have to admit that I’m less than impressed with the soybean oil and the corn oil. Those aren’t the typical oils I would buy to make my soap. They are perfectly fine to use of course–but as I said, this soap bar was a bit lackluster to me.
Sounds like one for the guest bathroom – just for the look…
It did look so very posh!
