My Beauty Haul: A Journey into Financial Recklessness and Moisturized Bliss

There comes a moment in every person’s life when they look at their bathroom shelves—crowded with half-used moisturizers, abandoned serums, and a dry shampoo that may or may not predate the pandemic—and think: What if I just bought more stuff? This is the story of that moment. And reader, I did not disappoint myself. I went on a beauty spree so excessive that it’s safe to say I’m now prepared for any scenario involving immaculate hair, flawless skin, and lips so hydrated they could host a pool party. Was it responsible? No. Was it fun? Oh, absolutely. So, grab a cup

Five Favorite Things – January 2020 (Super Late Edition!)

My Engagement Ring – This will probably be on every favorites list forever and ever. How could it not be? It symbolizes so much love! The Great Gatsby – My latest acquisition to my collection of leather-bound books. As a result, I am currently reading all about the woes of Gatsby and his tangled attractions to Ms. Daisy Buchanan. My Wall of Prints – So I have zero capabilities of hanging pictures straight — BUT, I had to give it my best (lopsided) effort. Yes, we had been collecting vinyl for well over a year before deciding we should probably have something to play them on. The music quality is insane and the only way to listen to Adele is on this baby. It’s an experience. Kerastase Magic Night Serum – Talk about the ultimate leave in treatment! Leaves my hair feeling thoroughly conditioned and less like I’ve fried it with hair dye and straighteners. My hair feels… healthy! and manageable?!

My Summer Hair Saviors

I like to travel. Sometimes those travels lead me to places with a hot sun, salty ocean waters, or enough heat to cause sweat to cake in my hair. The end of the story is that I tend to get pretty dry hair and that is not cute. It really isn’t. Here is what I like to use to get my hair feeling healthy again. Nobody likes to run their fingers through what feels like straw, amiright?! Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 – I haven’t read the ingredients list on this but I’m pretty sure it’s made of magic. It’s
