Guess what?! I have more empties and garbage to show you!

Skin&Co – Truffle Therapy Cleansing Oil

I was sooooo upset with myself because I didn’t fully seal this bad boy and it *somehow* tipped over in the middle of the night (I’m blaming the fiancé) and a third of it’s contents were lost to the bathroom counter! I know I have too many products anyway but I was actually thoroughly enjoying this oil! It was taking off my makeup and dare I say leaving my skin moisturized at the same time?! This was definitely good to both me and my skin!

Tosowoong – Green Tea Brightening Treatment

TEARS. So many tears for this being on the empties list. The thing is that brightening serums more or less stress my skin out. They turn my face red and blotchy and then I’m sad because my face looks screwed up. THIS stuff however, didn’t cause that problem and had been a great addition to my skincare routine!

Paula’s Choice – Resist Intensive Wrinkle Repair Serum

I love this, and if I had an extra forty something dollars I’d buy it again. Alas, my war chest of skincare takes precedence and I need to use some other stuff before I can justify buying *more*. One caveat this go round was that the twist pump actually broke causing me small spurts of rage everytime I used it. The good news is that they’ve since repackaged this so hopefully that problem is long gone now.

Coppertone – Sport Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50

I have had real love for this sunscreen and will probably rebuy but lately it’s been rolling up under my foundation and that’s just an unnecessary hassle when you are getting ready in the morning. I still love this in the summer though when less makeup is much more of a possibility for me.

Ouai – Body Cleanser

This gets a big fat “Meh” out of me. It’s unmemorable, as in I actually *just* finished using it and have forgotten all about it. It won’t do you any damage but it certainly won’t make you say “OMG!” either.

Neuma – neuBlonde Platinum Shampoo

Was a handy little travel shampoo to have when I jumped over to California last month. Kept me looking on-point, that’s for sure!

Neuma – neuBlonde Platinum Conditioner and Detangler

See above. They are a great little duo to have on hand if you have samples!

Paula’s Choice – Resist Optimal Results Hydrating Cleanser

I’ve repurchased this several times. I love what this does for my face. It’s like putting on moisturizer that happens to have cleansing properties. LOVE.

Touch in Sol – No Poreblem Primer

I really enjoyed using this and am sad that I managed to finish it. It just put a film over my skin that instantly made it feel super smooth, and definitely helped my makeup go on smoothly too. This gets another LOVE from me.

Kerastase – Elixir Ultime Shampoo

I love the Elixir Ultime hair oil so I figured the shampoo would be a home run for me. WRONG. I hated this and I’m glad to see it go. This was an instant grease bomb for my hair and I blame it for causing my horrible hair while on vacation this past summer.

DHC – Pore Cleansing Oil

I feel like at some point I’m going to buy this oil because I find it does a really good job of getting my face squeaky clean without the “squeaky” feeling afterwards. I keep getting free samples though and I AM NOT COMPLAINING.

Tatcha – Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum

I’ll be honest, there has never been a Tatcha product that I didn’t love. The problem? Their prices make my wallet whimper and I only pick something up as a very special treat. This just melts into the undereyes and makes the whole area feel rejuvenated. If I were a millionaire, this would be my go-to eye cream.

Paula’s Choice – Triple Action Dark Spot Eraser 2%BHA Gel

I stopped using this after I ran out and almost immediately afterward my chin broke out in one of the worst hormonal cystic zits I’ve ever had. Now I know what this gel had been battling while I was using it. I forgot I was prone to hormonal acne since it completely stopped while using this.

Clinique – High Impact Mascara in Black

Doesn’t this look like its been through the ringer? I think this is what the British call “completely knackered”. This mascara is an O.G. when it comes to great mascara. It thickens up my lashes without making me look like I’m trying too hard.

Buxom – Full On Lip Polish in “Katie”

This is probably one of the most girly glosses you will ever lay on your lips. It’s mostly sheer but adds enough princess pink and micro glitter to make you feel extra feminine. Plus, it has a tingly mint feeling when you apply and my significant other tended to want more kisses when I was wearing this. True story.

Clinique – Take the Day Off Cleansing Oil

The only thing better than this is the Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm. It destroys mascara and waterproof eyeliner. This *actually* melts off the makeup and doesn’t irritate my skin. I always snatch these up as free samplers every time I get the chance!

Kora Organics – Noni Glow Face Oil

This did nothing bad but I felt that Josie Maran’s Argan Oil was superior to this. Plus, it made my skin itchy. No bueno.

Jane Iredale – Eyeshadow Duo in Supernova/Oyster

This was pretty much a bummer duo. It should be more impressive than it is that I cleaned this out buuuut, when it mostly just crumbles, breaks, and falls out of the pan no matter how gently you use it, it becomes less impressive.

Josie Maran – Black Oil Argan Mascara

FAIL. It gave me panda eyes and went on clumpy.

That’s about it for my empties. Time to take out the garbage and start collecting again!

  • It’s so satisfying to see empties (real ones like you have there, not those “there’s still 5 more uses left but I can’t be bothered” empties that make my tiny OCD itchy).

Btw I love the Clinique mascara too! The only high end mascara that tops it for me is the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir, but the Clinique is much morw reasonably priced.

    • I totally agree on the empties! Maybe call me a stickler but I hate when people present an eyeshadow and say it’s “empty” when they actually just hit pan. The frugalista in me looks at it and thinks that there are a million more uses out of that eyeshadow! lolz.

Clinique is great! Though now I might have to look into the Marc Jacobs velvet noir 🙂
