Cargo – One Base Concealer + Foundation

I love this as a concealer. Not that fond of it as a foundation. Boom, review over.

The thing is, this just isn’t foundation friendly to me. It’s a small tube that comes with a wand for dabbing onto discoloration. It’s wicked watery too. When you shake the tube you can hear liquid sloshing around. This means that yes, it will spread, but any coverage is minimal at best when used that way.

However, as a concealer I LOVE it. I’m incredibly sallow skinned and tinted a pretty intense yellow. The fact that this matches my skin tone the way that it does is fabulous. Its yellow coloring also does wonders to hide those purple designer bags that hang out under my eyes. I like that I can just swipe and dab, then VOILA, my skin looks great!

Be aware that because of the heavy “liquid” content, it really should be shaken up pretty good. I tried to put some on the back of my hand when testing it out as a full face foundation, and clear liquid came pouring out and instantly dried out the back of my hand before the thicker foundation came sludging its way out. THAT was a disappointment, and a mistake I wouldn’t have made if I had only know to shake before use!

Another downfall? It only comes in 7 shades. It DOES blend out pretty great, but considering that they are touting this as a foundation? They really should have more.
