I need to stop looking up recipes that are supposed to be healthier, because I’m finding that they are just not that fun for me. But, when I kept seeing “cauliflower steaks” like they were supposed to replace real steak, I thought, I’ve got to see what this nonsense is about.
And it IS nonsense for the record. Cauliflower will never be steak in any way shape or form. That being said…
The strange part about this recipe is… I actually enjoyed the baked cauliflower! I ate it and thought, “Okay, I sorta-kinda get why people substitute this for beef.” We all know what I really meant is that I don’t actually get it at all but I respect the choices people make for their health.
Or something like that. ANYWAYS…
I shockingly enough did not like the chèvre cheese! The taste was way too sharp for me, making the whole dish feel much cheesier than it actually was… in a bad way. Mind you, I take issue with hot cheese in large doses (what a weird pet peeve, amiright?!), so maybe if you’re one for cheese-mania, you’ll love the cream.

I have never tried Chèvre Cheese!
It’s not my favorite!
😂I’m a veggie , so this is the norm for me, I do love a cauliflower steak 😁
I definitely have to get used to it!
Chevre Cheese? This reminds me… I gotta watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase!
I’ve never tried cauliflower steak, but I’ll give it a try!
I think I’m the only one on the planet who has never seen that movie!
How is this possible?! 😲🤣
I’ve been so sheltered!
I like it
Thank you so much, I’m glad you do!
