I’ve included links to the products I’ve done a fuller review on.

Cargo – One Base Foundation + Concealer

Tarte – Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation – This will give you very very VERY full coverage. I’d recommend using a beauty sponge to sheer it out a little bit because it is pretty thick on the face. That being said, whatever blemishes you have will disappear. Also, if you’re going for a full on matte look, this will get you there in a jiffy!

Bare Minerals – Mineral Veil in Original – This is a pretty great setting powder to just lightly buff onto your face. It’s also a savior if you accidentally go gung-ho on your blusher/bronzer. It will help even out the hot mess you made out of your face. I know from experience. (silent face palm happening here).

Jane Iredale – PurePressed Eyeshadow Duo in Oyster/Supernova – Holy Fallout Batman! I’ve hit pan on this only because so much of it just crumbles up and falls out of the pan.

Urban Decay – Eyeshadow in Relish – This however I have hit pan out of pure love for the product! It’s bittersweet like “Yay, I’ve actually hit pan on an eyeshadow!” but then it’s “Oh no, I might actually run out of this!”

Urban Decay – Eyeshadow in Blackout – This is fantastic at deepening a black eyeliner. I do like to use it overtop my liner when either A) the eyeliner isn’t dark enough or B) when its one of those smudgy eyeliners, this will help set it in place.

Tarte – Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Ave. Princess – I think everyone and their great aunt has tried this bronzer. The consensus seems to be that it is perfection. I’m not going to disagree with that!

Cargo – Blush in The Big Easy – These blushes deserve a second look. I looked at this color and thought, “That’s going to be way too dark!” but it blends very nicely. I can’t wait to get a little tanner as I think this will be sooo pretty with a tan!

Urban Decay – Eyeshadow in Buck  – I’ve ran this through my eyebrows. Unfortunately, don’t judge too harshly as I really don’t know how to fill in brows without turning into Oscar the Grouch! But hey-ho, it stayed in place so it gets a thumbs up from me.

Bobbi Brown – Natural Brow Shaper

Bare Minerals – Rock the Clock Eyeliner in Midnight – I quite enjoy using this. It goes on quite easily. I found some smudging if used on the waterline, but other than that, I’m all for this! Be aware, you do have to sharpen this one on your own.

Clinique – High Impact Mascara – I think this is another product EVERYONE on the planet Earth has tried. If they haven’t tried it it’s because they flat out don’t wear makeup. Seriously, you can put your Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara away because this is The Mascara. It gives volume, goes on without glopping everywhere and doesn’t give me panda eyes. What more could you ask for from a mascara?

NARS – Sheer Lipstick in Dolce Vita – I do plan on doing a review of this eventually because I love it. People should know about this. You can put it on and it still looks like it could be your natural lip color. I dig it. Big time.

  • Thanks for all the great tips! Something tells me anything would look great on you though!

  • The Eclectic Contrarian

    Wow!!!

  • Pretty and subtle look, Kristen! I’m a big fan of Tarte’s foundation but not so much their bronzers/blushes. I’ve never tried their Park Ave. Princess Palette though. Urban Decay makes my favorite eyeshadow formula, for sure & I need to try this Clinique mascara– sounds magical!

    • Thank you!

I look tarte’s Park Ave. Princess bronzer because it’s easy to use and buildable. Hard to ruin a look when using it you know?

Urban Decay has such good eyeshadows! I have a TON of their individual shadows. I guess you could say I can’t get enough!

The Clinique mascara is definitely a game changer. I’m reaching for that more often than the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara!
