This eyeshadow duo is maddening.
It’s maddening because the colors are stunning. Oyster is this gorgeous white champagne shimmer that’ll highlight your brow bone in such a beautiful way. Supernova is the perfect foil to Oyster. It’s a gunmetal grey/purple hybrid that is perfect for use in your crease.
Sounds like you should run out and buy it doesn’t it? WRONG.
These break apart so easily. They turned into a crumbly mess. I can use the plural “they” because I was accidentally sent two and they both turned to dust at the drop of a hat. It doesn’t matter how gently you handle the compact. THE EYESHADOWS WILL GO TO PIECES. And it will suck.
I tried to save them by using rubbing alcohol to glue them back together but the same powdery consistency remained. No matter what brush I used, or how gently I dipped into the shadows, mass amounts of powder would be produced. The aftereffect of course, was massive fall out every time I went to apply them to my lids. Frustration to the max.
And the double whammy? All that extra powder migrated into the other shadow eventually dulling the original colors. BOO. Hard pass on this next time.
