Here’s the thing, I really want to use retinols, because they apparently help wrinkles and renew skin with the bonus of treating acne and discoloration. However, my experience to date hasn’t been the best. I’ve given most retinol products a two month period to work their magic but I usually end up with hot and bothered skin, waaaay too much cystic acne, and a lowered self confidence because wtf is happening to my face?!?!
Which is why I actually like the Resist Wrinkle Intense Retinol Repair Serum from Paula’s Choice Skincare. I really don’t have those problems with this serum. After a minor week of some skin sensitivity, and a smattering of acne where I usually wouldn’t get it, my skin has been responding well. I’ve used it for about two months and my face has yet to come undone at the seams.
I really don’t have wrinkles, nor do I have much going on in the way of discoloration, but the few acne scars I have seem to be lightening up and hopefully they’ll be eliminated with continued use. Fingers crossed that it’ll also help prevent my skin from aging and turning me into a wrinkled prune before I’m ready for crazy old cat lady status.
The thing that I wasn’t expecting was how smooth my skin feels now! Even without moisturizer, it feels soft and so touchable and I’m putting the cause of that on this product.
P.S. Some complaints I’ve heard about this product is that it leaves your face greasy. I think these people are using too much product. (Or I just don’t mind a greasy face? Who even knows?) You really don’t need much to get the job done.

Surely you’re too young for this…
That means it’s working. 🙂
Man! Is is working!!
Lol, thank you 🙂
You’re kind of welcome..
Do we shake hands now? We feel so formal.
I haven’t used retinol since my experience with The Ordinary’s serum, I’m so scared! I wish Paula’s Choice was available in Portugal, there are a few things I would like to try.
Yeah, my first experience with retinol was not good at all! I thought my face was melting off!
Such a shame you don’t have access to their products! I’ve liked most of the stuff I’ve gotten from them!
I have never tried any of these. I could never justify the price for the tiny bottles. Now I’m beyond repair! 😂🤣😂
Lol, they are expensive! I figure I only get one face so I should take care of it!
Great point! You look gorgeous!
Thank you, you’re so nice!
I just ordered this today! Thank you for suggesting it.
Oh yay! I hope it works out for you!
Me too I need a lot of help! 😂🤣😂
Hey, no face shaming here!
Seriously, you’re one of the most kindest people that I’ve had the privilege to read in the “blogosphere” and your recipes always look so delicious!
It came yesterday and so far I love it! Now to wait for the results (hoping it makes me younger 😂🤣😂🤣) Thank you for such kind words and back at ya lady!
Isn’t that always the goal?! Lol
Thank you for your comments! 🙏
