Fashion Cravings: Tom Ford Jennifer Sunglasses

I have a thing for accessories, mainly because they tend to fit me no matter how much my waist expands or thins out. A scarf will always be able to drape itself in a sophisticated way across my shoulders, and barring serious water retention, a pair or shoes should always slide on.

Which brings me to sunglasses. They should always fit my head, protect me from crows feet, and make me look fab. Like these Tom Ford Polarized Jennifer Sunglasses. They are so chic, like what Aubrey Hepburn would wear today if she went for Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

I just love that peekaboo area where the shades and the frame don’t quite match up and even though they are made of plastic, they still look oh so pretty.

But like all my cravings that I can’t satiate, these babies are expeeenssssive. In an appalling way. As in, take $455 out of your bank account to trade for these. Eek, and so not happening in my lifetime since the only sunglasses that survive my summers cost $5 at Walgreens. The pricey ones never seem to make it out alive! They are always the ones that get crushed in my purse, or sat on, or fall overboard. But if I could risk the breakage and afford it? I’d totally want these.

Feeling spendy? Check out the sunglasses here:

    1. Right? So expensive. I might see if I can find a pair second hand for some steep savings, otherwise PASS.

I like looking at the expensive brands though because I’m less likely to impulse buy!

        1. Of course, expensive glasses always break or get lost the very moment you buy them!

Whereas the five dollar glasses seem to stay around for AGES. It’s a conundrum I can’t quite figure out! HA!

  1. Gosh!! Can’t believe people spend so much on sunglasses!! I could never since I lose or crush mine within a day or two lol. Love how you said Audrey Hepburn woulda worn these in our day & age– I could totally see that.

    1. I know, can you believe these actually sell at full price?! What the hell!

Expensive sunglasses never last very long for me. The cheap ones seem indestructible though— what is with that?!
