Let’s sit down and have a chat. I feel like randomly updating everyone on things in my life because why not? It feels appropriate at the moment and we can all sit around and be friends. 🙂

First off, screw coding. I can’t do it and I have no interest in it. Totally went to Etsy and found someone to work with who will hopefully help me turn this website into something special. I have high hopes that it’ll get there in the end!

Secondly, I went to my third Barre class, and I will most likely post a little something-something on it tomorrow. Fellow tortured souls in the class have been convincing me to include Sculpt and Tone (or is it strength and tone? I have no idea) classes to my lineup. I don’t know if I hate myself that much but I’m strongly considering going. I mean, I’m surviving barre, maybe a few dumbbells in my life would be a good thing.

Thirdly, apparently this is my one year anniversary on WordPress. Since my first post was on January 1st (guess what my New Year’s resolution was) it feels like a cheap shot to celebrate a whole year of being part of the blogoverse. If anything else, it highlights how badly I procrastinated when it came to actually starting the BEST BLOG EVER.

Just kidding, though I do confess, I sometimes feel like the blog’s title should’ve been “The Hot Mess”

Oh, and how incredible is Simone Biles? I don’t even like gymnastics but she comes on and suddenly it’s my favorite sport. She is absolutely slaying it and I love that she is rising to all challenges so amazingly!

Aaaaand, that’s all for me. So what’s going on with you guys? Anything new or exciting?

  • Hi!

I have no doubt your new Etsy buddy can sort out all the coding for you.

Congrats on 1 year of being a blogger. And I DO think being a passive blogger for a few months counts. We all have to think carefully about how we’re executing future blogging world dominion!

I think Barre actually means torture and tone.

Simone is something, isn’t she? I don’t really care for gymnastics, but Simone is… just wow!

My week’s been a bit funny because of work. We’re having the 2nd mumps outbreak in 6 weeks. Apparently there’s been another outbreak at the university dorms down the road! Yikes! I wish people would stay at home once they notice symptoms instead of getting other people sick by spreading the virus it on the train / bus / workplace / shared housing / lunch place… And I wish people would get vaccinated. Mumps is terrible to have as an adult, and it takes you out for 2 weeks.

Anyhoo… work was extremely busy – I didn’t read a single blog post since last week because every single day I felt completely drained after work. And I also didn’t write any new blog posts (all my posts are scheduled). But today and tomorrow I’ll write a few more reviews and mani posts. I have several photos of the manis, and I’m glad I took photos of the products I used too. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even know which products I used for what mani…

And the most important thing is to…

    have a good weekend!

    • My Etsy buddy is doing fantastic work and I’m really excited about the way things are looking so far!

Thanks for the congrats, and you’re absolutely right. Blog domination takes thought and strategy. Either way, I’m glad I jumped in!

Barre absolutely does mean torture and tone. I participated in the “Strength and Sculpt” class. I might have blacked out during that one since my memories are only a haze of weights and squats. Yikes.

Simone is absolutely mind-blowing! The things she’s been doing lately are enough to stun and awe the world!

Oh my a mumps outbreak?! God yes, they need to stay at home! I totally feel you on that! I work at a school and its shocking the amount of parents who send their kids to school seriously ill. We will call home to let them know their child needs to be picked up because they are too sick to be at school and there are some parents who will say things like, “Well, they barfed right before school but I was hoping they could make it through the day” or “Yes, I noticed they had a kinda high fever but they *really* wanted to go to school.” Uh, no, please keep them home. Or better yet, take them to a doctor!

And I bet you were busy with all the mumps outbreak! I’m glad that you’ve been able to maintain your regular posting schedule (love your manicures!) Looking forward to your upcoming posts and reviews. You know I dig reading them!

Have a fantastic weekend… and a good week too!

      • OMG at Strength at Sculpt! Weights and squats? Who thinks this up? 😲

I swim and I play tennis (badminton in winter), and that’s it. But I’m in awe of everyone who makes it through these torture classes at the gym.

About parents taking sick kids to school – why?

Thanks for your comment on my manis. I love coming up with new ideas for manis and most of the time I’m happy with the result. I can’t draw anything, so I can’t do actual nail art. But stamping tools and glitter toppers are more fun anyway.

        • Strength and Sculpt is barbaric. The End. Lol

I’ve thought about finding a place where I could get some swimming in. It’s an exercise I actually enjoy!

Parents taking sick kids to school… I have no idea why they think its a great idea. It never works out for them.

I love your manicures, and I always like the color combos you do! I intend to look into nail stamping plates in the future. The designs always look so fun!

  • I didn’t know you could find people on Etsy to help you code lol, how interesting! I need to do a sculpt & tone class, sounds like it’d do me some good. Your blogs IS one of my favorites. It’s so engaging & entertaining. Happy (fake?) 1 year blogiversary! 😀

    • You can find people on Etsy! And they are waaaay better at that webcode mish mash than I am!

Sculpt and Strength makes my body hurt. My arms are all spaghetti like today (I had another class yesterday, blaaargh)

Confession: I may have said “squeeee!” when you said I’m one of your favorites. Thanks for literally making my day, because when one of your favorite blogs returns the love, its pretty freaking cool!

      • Oh wow, how convenient! It seems you can find anything on Etsy lol. The Sculpt & Strength sounds tough but, will be worth it!

<3 <3 Lol yay!! I'm so happy I could make your day, you often make mine!!

        • It was super convenient to find someone on Etsy! They know faaaaar more than I would ever care to learn on coding!

Strength and Sculpt is HARD for me. My arms are so wimpy so lifting these weights for an hour just isn’t my favorite thing! lol

So happy you found my blog Hunida! <3
