Ugh, this class is such a (beeeeeeeep). Sorry, trying to clean up my profanity when I discuss exercising.

I went to this class with a full on migraine. I’m talking pulsating head, a stomach that felt like it was going to heave at any moment, and an aura of dread emanating from me. I took two Excedrin, crossed my fingers, and prepared to enter the seventh circle of Hell.

Hell took the form of two to five pound weights and an excess of arm exercises. I’m shocked that my limbs didn’t fall off though they did refuse to cooperate at one point. I got cramps in my fingers which made me almost drop the weights. Almost. Nothing will make you feel more like a great granny than almost dropping two pound weights. Just saying.

Despite my arms feeling like spaghetti noodles afterwards, I will say one great thing happened–My migraine pretty much disappeared by the end of the class. Even my boyfriend noted that I seemed *much* perkier as we were leaving, which wasn’t hard to do since I came in like a storm cloud of doom and gloom. Now, you may be thinking, “But Kristen, you took Excedrin, OF COURSE YOU FEEL BETTER.” The thing is though that Excedrin only stops my migraines from getting worse, meaning it’ll stop me from barfing but I’ll still feel nauseous and dizzy from lights. So I was kind of impressed I exercised the migraine out.

All that being said, I CANNOT enjoy my cup of tea right now. Every time I lift my arm to take a sip I wince a little. This class has now disrupted my relaxation time by ruining tea for me, but I guess I’ll let it slide *this* time since it seemed to save me from the usual three day migraine.
